Last year my mother-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer. It came as a huge shock as she has been having regular check ups and was healthy just a year before. 2020 was a very difficult year filled with surgeries, chemo therapy, radio therapy and recurring lockdowns. We would like to dedicate our first campaign Pink With Purpose to my mother-in-law Nancy whose positive attitude, inner strength and bravery has been an inspiration last year. We wish Nancy a speedy recovery and hope to see her soon here in Melbourne.

Cancer is a major cause of illness in Australia and has a substantial social and economic impact on individuals, families and the community. To support those bravely fighting for their life we pledge to donate 100% of profit from all of our pink pyjamas to Cancer Council Victoria’s Wig Library service and Psycho-oncology Counselling*.

Wig Library is a free Cancer Council service that helps those undergoing cancer treatment have confidence and feel normal. Wig Library offers an extensive range of wigs, headscarves and beanies helping cancer patients find the one that suits their needs and personality. $100 provides a free wig for one person experiencing cancer-related hair loss and $25 allows to post out a wig at no cost to a patient.

Psycho-oncology Counselling offers a cancer-specific, phone-based counselling service that provides emotional and practical support tailored to each situation. This service ensures that everyone has access to appropriate care that is not limited by where you live, or the out-of-pocket costs associated with some specialist services. $500 allows someone to have 5 sessions with a nurse counsellor or psychologist to help with cancer related challenges.

The campaign will run from April 10th to May 31st 2021. Lets make a difference together!
